HIPPS

The HIMA Australia HIPPS solution is extremely flexible, operating either as standalone technology or integrated into all leading control systems. The HIPPS solution includes the logic solver and all field instruments such as pressure transmitters, DBB valves with maintenance interlocking, HIPPS valves and actuators. HIMA Australia offers a complete HIPPS solution from one source, for process safety functions up to SIL 4 for the logic solver and in accordance with IEC 61508/61511 standards.


An important aspect of the HIMA Australia HIPPS solution is the inclusion of BEL Valves. BEL HIPPS  valves are designed for surface or subsea applications with operating pressure ranges up to 15,000psi. Bore sizes range from 2” to 42” in diameter. Hydraulic or pneumatic actuation is available and the actuator itself is available with a control panel and smart valve monitoring system. BEL Valves has a ISO 9001 Certified Management system and manufactures its HIPPS valves in full compliance with IEC 61508.

HIMA‘s subsea HIPPS system solution is based on the HIMatrix series controller and makes this solution the fastest SIL 3 subsea HIPPS system in the world. Tested and approved by the Teknologisk Institutt Norway in accordance with the subsea control systems standard ISO/DIS 13628-6, the HIMA subsea HIPPS solution has been developed to withstand shock and vibration, extreme temperatures and operate at depths of up to 4,000m.
