SIL3 Safety Bus

The HIMA Australia SIL3 Safety Bus Solution is designed for applications that depend on safety critical communications. This is a fully integrated package solution that enables SIL3 I/O data transfer for safety critical signals over most communication mediums.

For practical and economic reasons, there are often requirements to send safety related data over commuincations links. The HIMA SIL3 Safety Bus solution allows you to connect SIL3 remote I/O modules together using a number of physical layer commuincations methods. At the core of this solution is our safeethernet SIL3 TÜV certified communications protocol. Whether it's a few I/O linked by radio across water or hundreds of I/O connected over fibre, the SIL3 Safety Bus solutions comes as an off the shelf engineered package complete with logic solvers, remote I/O, media converter devices and functional safety compliance reports.

The SIL3 compliance means that all hardware, software and safeethernet protocols are certified to SIL3 by TÜV Rheinland. It also means that the safeethernet protocol provides the safety integrity independent of any physical communications layers.

This provides a robust and safe means of sending safety related data over long distances using the communications medium that best suits the applications and budget.
